The Almagor Terror Victims Association has come out against a planned prayer event for kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit at the Kotel Wednesday evening. Almagor head Meir Indor says the event is political and is intended to get the religious public to support a mass terrorist release.

Hamas is demanding Israel release 1,400 terrorists, many with blood on their hands, in exchange for Shalit. The Almagor organization represents relatives of those killed by many of the terrorists to be part of any deal.

A few months ago, when a deal was said to be close, relatives of terror victims held a vigil across the street from the Gilad Shalit demonstration tent, next to the Prime Minister’s Office. In an interview with Arutz 7’s Hebrew radio on Wednesday, Tzion Suviri, whose son and daughter were killed in a terror attack asked, “Why does Israel enjoy surrendering?” He made the comments in response to news reports that master terrorist Marwan Barghoutti would soon be released.
