Terror Victims Association Almagor has praised the government for refusing to release Hamas and Hizbullah terrorists, saying the groups are using “ugly manipulation” to obtain their freedom. “It is forbidden to surrender to pressure to release terrorists,” said the organization in a statement to the media.

In July 2007 the Olmert government released 250 Fatah terrorists. In 2005, the Sharon government released 900 terrorists. President Shimon Peres recently proposed that Israel release all the Arab terrorists currentl incarcerated in Israeli jails. Almagor says that in the past decade 177 Israeli citizens have been murdered by terrorists who were freed from Israeli jails.
