The families of individuals killed by Palestinian police officers yesterday requested an urgent meeting with Defense Minister Ehud Barak to discuss Israel’s decision to permit 500 Palestinian police officers to deploy in the West Bank city of Jenin. The appeal was made through the Almagor terror victims association. Nahman Zoldan, whose son Ido was murdered near Kedumim last November by two Palestinian policeman, expressed in a letter to Barak his fears that the officers would become involved in anti-Israel terror. Zoldan also protested the government’s approval of the transfer of armored vehicles to Palestinian Authority security forces.
