The Terror Victims Association announces that due to the increase in the number of casualties in Arab terrorist attacks, the organization is looking for volunteers to visit the wounded in hospitals throughout the country and console the families of murder victims at their homes. People interested in joining this effort can contact and leave a message at +972-2-538-8999 or email: feedback@terrorvictims.com.

One recent volunteer mission was organized by Yechiel Lancekoren, who lost his younger brother in the Neve Yamin suicide attack a year ago, and Ricki Shahor, who lost her brother in a terrorist attack in Wadi Kelt. They headed a group of young adults for a late night visit to 4 hospitals where tens of families of wounded terror victims were anxiously tending to their loved ones. Ra’anana volunteer Esti Martin organized cars and drivers for the group. Terror Victims Association head Meir Indor says that in the late night hours, the hospital cafeteria is closed and meals are no longer served. Families of the wounded often wind up stuck at the hospital without food for themselves or for their young children who come along when no one is available to baby sit. The group of volunteers delivered large quantities of food purchased at all-night supermarkets, and in some cases brought young kids to their home to baby sit for the remainder of the night. “In light of the many attacks, we have learned exactly when and where to step in to help the families of both wounded and murdered terror victims,” said Indor. “It is wonderful to see the many volunteers give of their time, including many from families which were also hit by Arab terrorism. Those kids know exactly what the new families are going through, and they are able to offer consolation like no one else can.”
